A fast intent-based bridge that pre-fills user transfers with relayer capital and settles atomically via optimistic verification against a hub.
Across is a fast bridge for asset transfers between Ethereum and its L2s. Users sign a transfer intent; "relayers" front the user the destination-chain funds within seconds, and are later reimbursed by the protocol after a settlement window on the L1 hub.
The optimistic settlement layer uses UMA's data verification mechanism to challenge dishonest claims. Across consistently posts the lowest fees for ETH and stablecoin bridges across major rollups, which is what made it a default routing option in many aggregators.
