Allowlist
A pre-mint list of addresses authorized to mint an NFT at a fixed (often discounted) price during a window before the public sale — the standard pre-mint mechanic.
An allowlist (the modern term for "whitelist") is the list of addresses a project pre-approves for an upcoming NFT mint. List members can mint during a private window before the general public, often at a lower price and with a per-wallet cap, before remaining supply opens up.
Allowlist farming — qualifying for as many lists as possible — is itself a competitive activity in NFT culture, with Twitter raids, Discord engagement, and protocol activity all used as gating signals.
