Argent
A smart-contract wallet pioneer — social recovery, daily transfer limits, multi-call batches — originally on Ethereum, with a major Starknet deployment.
Argent launched in 2018 as one of the first smart-contract wallets to ship at scale. Users authenticate via biometrics on the device; account recovery uses "guardians" (other accounts the user designates) rather than a seed phrase.
Daily transfer limits, multi-call transactions, and dApp session keys were all Argent features years before account abstraction was standardized. The wallet now operates separate Ethereum/L2 and Starknet deployments, with the Starknet version benefitting from that chain's native account abstraction.
