Astria
A shared-sequencer network — a separate fast-finality chain that orders transactions for rollups, then forwards ordered blocks to each rollup's own execution layer.
Astria runs a CometBFT-based chain whose sole job is sequencing. Rollups submit transactions to Astria; Astria orders them, blocks finalize in seconds, and the ordered streams are forwarded to each rollup's execution layer to run.
The architecture separates ordering from execution, letting many rollups share the same neutral, decentralized ordering layer. Astria's MEV mechanics and cross-rollup atomic transactions are core selling points alongside sequencer decentralization.
