Bagholder
A trader stuck holding a token that has fallen significantly below their entry price — usually because they bought near the top and refused to sell.
A bagholder is someone left holding ("with the bag") an asset that has dropped substantially below their cost basis. The term implies passive holding through a decline rather than active position management — typically driven by reluctance to realize a loss.
The word appears across trading communities, not just crypto, but gets particular use in memecoin and ICO contexts where the gap between top and bottom can be 90%+. The verb form "to bagholder" is sometimes used as well.
