Berachain
A Cosmos SDK + EVM Layer-1 with Proof-of-Liquidity consensus: validators are rewarded for directing emissions to DeFi pools instead of just for staking.
Berachain is a Layer-1 with a tri-token model (BERA gas, BGT governance, HONEY stablecoin) and "Proof-of-Liquidity" consensus. Validators earn BGT for producing blocks, and BGT holders direct emissions to whitelisted DeFi pools — turning consensus rewards into a built-in liquidity-mining engine.
The chain is EVM-compatible via a custom "Polaris" framework on Cosmos SDK, allowing standard Solidity contracts to run alongside the PoL primitives.
