CCIP

Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol — generic messaging plus token transfers, secured by Chainlink's oracle network and a separate risk-management network.

CCIP is Chainlink's cross-chain product. Each message is signed by two independent networks: the executing DON (decentralized oracle network) that delivers the message, and an Active Risk Management Network (ARM) that monitors for anomalies and can halt suspicious activity.

The dual-network design gives CCIP a stronger trust model than most bridges. Token transfers use either a lock-and-mint or a burn-and-mint flow depending on the asset's CCT (Cross-Chain Token) configuration.
