DIMO
A DePIN connected-car network where drivers plug a device into their car and earn DIMO tokens by sharing vehicle telemetry with the network.
DIMO drivers install an OBD-II dongle (or compatible smart car app) that streams telemetry — odometer, speed, fault codes, GPS — to the network. The data is pooled, anonymized where appropriate, and sold to insurers, OEMs, fleet operators, and ML training customers. Drivers earn DIMO tokens proportional to their data contribution.
The model is the connected-car equivalent of Hivemapper's mapping network — a DePIN that monetizes a stream of data the device owner would otherwise give to Google or to the manufacturer's analytics partner for free.
