EigenDA
A data-availability service built as an EigenLayer AVS — Ethereum restakers commit stake to attest that rollup data has been published and is retrievable.
EigenDA is the flagship Actively Validated Service on EigenLayer. Rollups submit blobs of data to the EigenDA disperser; restaked Ethereum operators store shards and sign attestations that the data is available. The EigenDA contract on Ethereum verifies a quorum of signatures.
The model inherits Ethereum's economic security via restaking without paying for Ethereum's calldata or blob fees, making EigenDA materially cheaper than posting to L1. Mantle, Celo's L2 migration, and several other rollup stacks use it as their primary DA.
