ERC-3643 (T-REX)
The Token for Regulated EXchanges standard — adds on-chain identity verification, transfer restrictions, and compliance hooks to tokens representing real-world securities.
ERC-3643 (also known as T-REX) is the dominant standard for issuing security tokens on Ethereum. It extends ERC-20 with an on-chain identity registry (each holder is associated with a verified identity), transfer rules (jurisdiction, accreditation, holding caps), and freeze / forced-transfer capabilities for compliance actions.
The standard is used by many tokenized-asset issuers — bonds, real estate, equity — that need to satisfy regulatory transfer restrictions while keeping the asset on a public chain. Tokeny maintains the T-REX reference implementation.
