Crypto Twitter / Discord shorthand for "good morning" — a community-marker greeting that doubles as an in-group signal and a daily ritual.
"gm" — lowercase, short for "good morning" — is the standard greeting across crypto Twitter, Discord servers, Telegram groups, and Farcaster. The phrase functions both as a literal hello and as an in-group cultural marker.
Variants: "gmgm" for emphasis, "wagmi gm" for solidarity, "gn" for "good night" at end of day. NFT projects, DAOs, and protocol communities frequently use "gm" as a daily check-in ritual. GMCoin, Farcaster's Tally bot, and various social tokens have even tokenized the greeting.
