Immutable X
An Ethereum NFT-focused scaling platform — originally a StarkEx-based validium for gaming and NFTs, now expanded into a broader Immutable zkEVM ecosystem.
Immutable X launched in 2021 as a StarkEx-validium tailored for NFT minting and gaming on Ethereum: zero gas fees for users, fast confirmations, batched ZK proofs to L1 for security. The platform became a major venue for games like Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians.
Immutable has since expanded into a zkEVM rollup (Immutable zkEVM) that supports full Solidity smart contracts alongside the original validium product. IMX is the network token; the company is one of the more successful focused Web3-gaming infrastructure plays.
