JUP
Jupiter's governance token — distributed in a January 2024 airdrop to Solana users, controls the Jupiter DAO and emissions across the broader Jupiter product suite.
JUP launched in January 2024 with a multi-stage airdrop ("the Jupuary") that distributed ~700 million tokens to Solana users who had transacted through Jupiter. Subsequent airdrops in 2025 and 2026 continued the distribution to active users and contributors.
JUP governs the Jupiter DAO, controls launchpad emissions, and sits inside JUP staking and ecosystem incentives. The token is one of the largest by market cap on Solana and a centerpiece of the chain's DeFi ecosystem.
