Linea
ConsenSys's Ethereum ZK rollup using a custom zkEVM and a permissioned-then-decentralizing sequencer / prover roadmap.
Linea is a ZK rollup from ConsenSys, the company behind MetaMask and Infura. It targets EVM-equivalence with a custom zkEVM stack based on PLONK / gnark proving.
Its main strategic advantage is distribution: MetaMask, Infura, and Truffle bake Linea support into the default Ethereum developer toolchain. Like most ZK rollups, Linea launched with a permissioned sequencer and prover and has a public roadmap toward decentralizing both.
