Magic Eden
The dominant Solana NFT marketplace, expanded to Bitcoin (Ordinals) and Ethereum — a major multi-chain venue with optional royalty enforcement.
Magic Eden launched on Solana in September 2021 and quickly became its dominant NFT venue, riding the 2021–2022 Solana NFT wave. It has since multi-chain-expanded to Bitcoin Ordinals (becoming a major venue for the runes/inscriptions ecosystem), Ethereum, Base, Polygon, and others.
The platform's royalty policy has shifted over time, generally landing on "optional with creator incentives" — similar to other marketplaces in the post-Blur era. ME, its native token, launched in 2024.
