MegaETH
A high-performance Ethereum Layer-2 targeting real-time performance — multi-thousand TPS and sub-10ms block times via specialized sequencer hardware.
MegaETH is an Ethereum L2 that pushes execution performance dramatically further than current rollups by separating roles: specialized sequencer nodes run on high-end hardware to produce blocks at 10ms cadence, while provers and full nodes operate asynchronously.
The bet is that L2s should aim for real-time UX — comparable to a centralized server — while still inheriting L1 security via fraud or validity proofs. The chain launched its public testnet in 2024 ahead of the mainnet.
