MEV-Share

A Flashbots system where users emit partially-private transaction "hints" that searchers compete to back-run — returning most of the captured MEV to the user.

MEV-Share, launched by Flashbots in 2023, lets users send their transactions to a private order-flow network alongside hints about their content. Searchers bid to "back-run" the transaction (insert a follow-up that captures arbitrage or liquidations created by the user's swap), and a configurable portion of the bid is paid back to the user.

The model partially internalizes MEV to the user that created it. Wallets and routers (Uniswap, MetaMask) increasingly integrate MEV-Share or equivalent private order-flow routing.
