Nimbus
A resource-constrained Ethereum consensus client by Status — designed to run on small devices like Raspberry Pis and embedded hardware.
Nimbus is the Ethereum consensus client purpose-built for resource-constrained environments. Where other clients optimize for peak throughput, Nimbus optimizes for minimum CPU and RAM footprint so that a beacon node can run on a Raspberry Pi 4 or even embedded hardware.
The client is written in Nim by the Status team. Its small-footprint philosophy is part of how Ethereum keeps validator hardware requirements low and accessible to home stakers.
