Prysm

A Go-based Ethereum consensus client by Prysmatic Labs — historically the most-deployed CL, now actively decentralized for client-diversity.

Prysm has been one of the most widely deployed Ethereum consensus clients since the beacon chain launched in 2020. Written in Go and maintained by Prysmatic Labs (acquired by Offchain Labs), it implements all beacon-chain features and is well-instrumented for operators.

Because Prysm at peak ran on roughly two-thirds of validators, "diversify away from Prysm" became a community campaign for fault tolerance. Operators now spread across Prysm, Lighthouse, Teku, Nimbus, and Lodestar to reduce correlated-bug risk on Ethereum's consensus layer.
