Pyth Network
A low-latency oracle that aggregates first-party price feeds from major trading firms and exchanges, publishing on Pythnet and pulling onto consumer chains.
Pyth differs from Chainlink in two ways. Sources: first-party data from market-makers and exchanges (Jane Street, Jump, Cboe, Binance) rather than from third-party node operators. Delivery: prices are continuously published to Pyth's own chain and then "pulled" onto consumer chains by users when they need a fresh quote.
The model gives sub-second updates and confidence intervals that DeFi protocols can act on. Pyth has grown rapidly across Solana, Ethereum L2s, and many alt-L1s since launch in 2021.
