Sei
A Cosmos-based Layer-1 originally built around an on-chain order book primitive — Sei v2 added EVM compatibility and parallel execution.
Sei launched in 2023 as a Cosmos SDK chain with a native frequent- batch-auction order book module designed to support trading applications. Sei v2 in 2024 added a parallelized EVM that runs alongside the original CosmWasm environment, making Sei one of the first chains to ship parallel-EVM at production scale.
The chain targets trading-heavy use cases — DEXes, perps, NFT marketplaces — that benefit from low latency and high-throughput order matching.
