Superchain
A network of independent OP Stack rollups — OP Mainnet, Base, World Chain — sharing a standard bridge, common governance, and cross-chain interoperability.
The Superchain is Optimism's vision of many rollups that behave like one system. Each chain runs the OP Stack and stays sovereign over its own execution, but members opt into a shared set of standards: a common bridge contract, a security council, synchronized upgrades, and a roadmap toward native cross-chain messaging and shared sequencing.
Chains such as OP Mainnet, Base, Soneium, and World Chain contribute a portion of their sequencer revenue back to the collective through the Optimism protocol. The aim is to let users and liquidity move between Superchain members almost as easily as within a single chain, while each team keeps control of its own network and roadmap.
