Tron
An EVM-compatible Layer-1 founded by Justin Sun in 2017, dominated by USDT transfers — by far the largest venue for on-chain stablecoin volume.
Tron is a Layer-1 launched in 2017 by Justin Sun. Its consensus is a 27-validator delegated proof-of-stake ("Super Representatives") that produces blocks every 3 seconds with low fees.
The chain's dominant use case is USDT: Tether's TRC-20 USDT is by far the largest single stablecoin deployment by transaction count, heavily used for remittances, exchange transfers, and OTC settlement in emerging markets. Most other DeFi activity on Tron is small relative to the stablecoin throughput.
