UniswapX
Uniswap's intent-based protocol: users sign Dutch-auction-style orders that fillers compete to execute, with MEV protection and cross-chain routing built in.
UniswapX, launched in 2023, takes Uniswap's swap UX off the AMM fast path. Users sign an order with a starting price and a decay schedule; "fillers" compete to fill the order on-chain, either by routing through Uniswap pools or by sourcing liquidity elsewhere (other DEXes, private inventories, cross-chain).
The user receives MEV-protected execution at the best discovered price; the filler captures any improvement above the user's reserve price. UniswapX is one of the bellwether intent protocols on Ethereum and its L2s.
