USDS
Sky's flagship stablecoin — successor to MakerDAO's DAI under the Endgame rebrand, with 1:1 upgrade from DAI and an integrated Sky Savings Rate.
USDS launched in September 2024 as part of MakerDAO's rebrand to Sky. Existing DAI holders can upgrade to USDS at a 1:1 ratio at any time; DAI continues to exist in parallel. USDS is the canonical stablecoin going forward for the Sky / Endgame protocol stack.
Holders can deposit USDS into the Sky Savings Rate (sUSDS) to earn a variable yield set by Sky governance and sourced from a mix of crypto-collateralized debt, tokenized Treasuries, and real-world assets. The migration narrative is the largest stablecoin rebranding to date.
