USDT
Tether's US-dollar stablecoin — the largest and most-traded stablecoin by volume, issued natively on multiple chains and used heavily for remittances and OTC.
USDT, issued by Tether since 2014, is the largest crypto stablecoin by market cap, circulating supply, and trade volume. It is deployed natively on most major chains, with the largest single deployment being TRC-20 USDT on Tron.
Tether publishes quarterly attestations rather than full audits, and its reserve composition (Treasuries, commercial paper historically, secured loans, gold, BTC) has been the subject of regulatory scrutiny and continued controversy. The peg has nonetheless held through every major crisis to date.
